Our company has commissioned an autoclavable bioreactor with a total volume of 10 liters.
The bioreactor has an individual configuration in accordance with the requirements of the user:
The lid is made of 316L stainless steel with the necessary set of ports and connectors for connecting sensors and pipelines.
The single—walled bioreactor vessel is made of borosilicate glass, the lower part of the vessel has a metal cooling jacket.
Monitoring and control of the following parameters are hold: agitation speed, temperature, pH, pO2, foam sensor, air supply for ventilation — through a rotameter.
Sensors:
- PT100 temperature sensor;
- Autoclavable pH electrode;
- Autoclavable pO2 sensor;
- Defoaming sensor with height adjustment of the electrode, including the connecting cable.
The air supply to the bioreactor is carried out through an autoclavable sterile filter, a pressure regulating reducer with a pressure gauge and a rotameter. For the aeration the bioreactor is equipped with a ring sparger.
The bioreactor is equipped with an additional gas mixing station: for mixing four gases (air, oxygen, nitrogen and CO2), every gas is supplied through a rotameter.
A condenser for condensation of evaporated moisture and an autoclavable sterile filter are installed on the gas outlet line from the bioreactor.
The mixing system is equipped with a mechanical single shaft seal and two height-adjustable stirrer screws with 6 blades.
Inside the vessel there are removable baffles for the additional cooling/heating;
Defoaming control is held in an automatic mode by the electrode of the foam sensor. If there is a signal from the foam sensor, the supply of the defoamer by the peristaltic pump is activated, according to the algorithm specified by the user. In addition, mechanical defoaming is provided using an adjustable in height blade at the upper level of the agitator shaft.
The pH level is controlled by the automatic addition of acid or alkali using peristaltic pumps.
